Overview
This section will help you backup and export your data out of CustomerSuccessBox. There are three methods using which you can backup your data. This section contains all the detailed information you need to do that.
Mentioned below are the ways using which you can backup/export your data:
1. Export the data via table view from CustomerSuccessBox.
2. Via CustomerSuccessBox Get API
3. Export the data from Metabase
Method 1: Via table view in CustomerSuccessBox
Prerequisites
1. To export the data from CSB, you need to have the exporting access. In case you don’t have access, you may contact your administrator.
2. You can export the data that is accessible to you. For eg: CSMs can export data only for the accounts assigned to them and the data where no CSM is assigned.
Exporting Accounts Data:
Step 1: Go to the accounts page.
Step 2: Choose the segment for which you want to export the data.
Step 3: After selecting the account segment, go to the export icon present to the top right corner of the screen.
Step 4: When you click on the export icon, you will get two options:
Option 1: Export current view with selected columns: Using this option, you can export the tailored view that you have created for yourself. You can export 20 columns at max using this option. As mentioned in the screenshot below, all the columns that are selected in this view will be exported.
Option 2: Export all columns: Using this option, you can export all the account level attributes.
All the attributes that are available for selection will be exported.
Step 5: After clicking any one of the two options, the system will prompt a confirmation message, confirm the message and the system will send your export on your registered email id in CSV format.
Note: You can repeat the same process for all the segments in case you need to fetch the data separately for each segment. Same can be replicated for lists. |
Exporting Users Data:
Step 1: Go to the users page.
Step 2: Choose the segment for which you want to export the data.

Option 1: Export current view with selected columns: Using this option, you can export the tailored view that you have created for yourself. You can export 20 columns at max using this option. As mentioned in the screenshot below, all the columns that are selected in this view will be exported.
Option 2: Export all columns: Using this option, you can export all the user level attributes.
All the attributes that are available for selection will be exported.
Step 5: After clicking any one of the two options, the system will prompt a confirmation message, confirm the message and the system will send your export on your registered email id in CSV format.
