Sending and managing data - for Developers

Objective 

This article will assist you with leveraging our APIs and JavaScript libraries to send and maintain data in CustomerSuccessBox.  You can always contact us as and when needed using contact options provided at the end of this article.

Who’s this for?

If you are in-charge of implementing our APIs and JavaScript libraries to send and manage data in CustomerSuccessBox, you are at the right place. We've designed this article to help you get started as quickly as possible.

What will you need?

We presume that you understand the business requirements and have received a document from stakeholders for implementation which will resemble 'product_usage' and 'field_mapping' sheets on this onboarding template. If not, you can clone a copy, and fill it in or get the right stakeholder to fill this in.

For basic terminology and business context, refer to Terminology section in this article.

Sending and managing data in CustomerSuccessBox

As Product Developers / Engineers, you can:

1.  create and update Accounts, Users and Subscriptions in CustomerSuccessBox. We recommend using our APIs for this.

2. send us user actions taken by a user in your product to CustomerSuccessBox. We recommend using our JavaScript library for this.

How to get JavaScript snippet and API key

JavaScript snippet is available from 'JS Code' tab under Settings > Developer Console

API keys are available from 'Keys' tab under Settings > Developer Console

In most cases, you would have a dedicated Customer Success Manager who will be your point-of-contact for any queries or assistance.

You can always:
 1.  Initiate a chat directly from within your CustomerSuccessBox. Use Chat option from Chat icon in left side navigation bar.

2. Create a conversation from here.
